Creative Ability Development
NEW Class Starting October 7, 2017 for all instruments.
You asked for it!
After the wildly successful workshop last April with Alice Kanack, this fall we are pleased to be offering Creative Ability Development (CAD) classes on Saturdays starting October 7. Creative Ability Development is a group learning experience centered around improvisation that guides young musicians in an exploration of their hidden, untapped musicality.
Saturday at 1:30 PM
All instruments - register today! Classes begin October 7
CAD was created by Alice Kanack, a former Third Street faculty member. The premise of the approach is that all children are born with creative ability and that innate creative ability can be developed through the disciplined practice of creative exercises which allow the child complete freedom of choice. Great creative ability is the art of making choices.
Though this approach was designed around the Suzuki Approach it can be used with any teaching method. For those who are Suzuki trained, or who are working on Suzuki teacher training, this workshop qualifies for Suzuki Enrichment credit.
