We are pleased to announce that Third Street Music School Settlement is accepting applications for Need-Based Financial Aid for the 2012-13 school year online. Need-Based Financial Aid applications will be processed through School and Student Services (SSS) provided by the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS).
APPLICATION DEADLINES
February 25, 2012 - Early Childhood Arts Day Camp
April 1, 2012 - Individual Instruction, Summer Chamber Music, Piano Ensemble and Dance Workshops
April 18, 2012 - Music and Dance for the 2012-13 School year
Applications received after these deadlines will be reviewed until funds are exhausted.
HOW TO APPLY
Visit http://sss.nais.org/parents/ to create your account, begin your Personal Family Statement (PFS) and submit your Required Documents.
There is a $37 application fee* per family assessed to complete your online application.
If you need help creating an online account, please make an appointment with Student Support Services and they will be glad to assist you.
*Families receiving government subsidies can contact the Student Support Services office for a fee waiver.

- You will need to submit your 2011 W2 and 1040 forms (or other equivalent statements/schedules)
- If you receive any type of government subsidy (Public Assistance, Section 8, Social Security Insurance, Disability Payments, etc.) submit your monthly or annual budget letter
To submit these documents by mail, send one copy (not the original) of each document with a Required Documents Cover Sheet to: School and Student Services, P.O. Box 449, Randolph, MA 02368-0449 USA. (For overnight mail: School and Student Services, Processing Center, 437 Turnpike Street, Canton, MA 02021.)
To submit these documents online, go to the Manage Documents tab in the PFS Online. There you can upload documents from your computer. Save each document separately in Adobe Acrobat pdf or as a .jpg file. Each document must not exceed a size of 500 kilobytes. On the Manage Documents page, click on "Browse," locate the document on your computer, then click on "Upload."
IMPORTANT! Under Additional Family Information (Section E Part 4), please indicate the instrument, class or program you are applying for. For individual instruction, please include the lesson length.
