Tuition & Fees
Third Street, in fulfillment of its mission, is committed to keeping its tuition and fees affordable and competitive with similar programs in New York City. A significant Financial Aid & Scholarships program ensures that Third Street's programs remain accessible to all, in keeping with its settlement roots to serve communities in need. However, the quality of its programs attracts students from all socio-economic backgrounds and skill levels.

Tuition rates are for the entire academic school year, ranging from 32-34 weeks, depending on the program. Complete information about Tuition & Fees is provided in the current Course Catalog.

Payment Information

Is there a registration Fee?
Yes. There is a non-refundable registration fee of $40 per student for the September through June academic year.

Are there early registration discounts?
The registration fee is $25 during the Early Registration Period.

Do you receive a discount if you pay your tuition in full?
Yes. Families paying in the full (32 weeks) during the Early Registration Period will receive 1 free week of instruction.

Can you receive a discount for siblings or other family members?
Family members receive a discount of $96 on individual lessons. Families enrolling siblings in the Third Street Preschool program will receive a 10% discount on the tuition of any additional sibling.

How do you pay for lessons/classes?
The School accepts tuition payments by cash, check, money order or credit card (MasterCard, Visa, Discover or American Express). Payments can be made by mail or in person at the reception desk. Credit card payments for tuition may also be made by telephone.

What is the required registration deposit?
INDIVIDUAL / PARTNER INSTRUCTION: A deposit of $350, plus the $40 registration fee, is due at the time of enrollment. Families receiving need-based financial aid may arrange for a smaller deposit.

GROUP INSTRUCTION (Students under the age of 18): The required deposit for group instruction is 50% of the year’s tuition, plus the $40 registration fee.

GROUP INSTRUCTION (Students over the age of 18): The required deposit for adult group classes is the cost of the first session, plus the $40 registration fee.
