WEDNESDAY WINDS
Lessons, chamber music,
band, pizza, fun! Wednesdays
4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Third Street offers individual and partner lessons in flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, bassoon, French Horn, trumpet, trombone, baritone horn and tuba. Percussion students learn drum set as well as all styles of hand drums. Please call the coordinator to schedule a placement interview or to discuss the study of an instrument not listed above.


Flute Lab
Flute Lab is required for Suzuki method flute students. This weekly class reviews and reinforces pieces already learned while developing musicality and playing skills. Flute Lab is also used to promote development of musical rapport among students.


Flute Ensemble
(By permission of instructor)
Explore and perform new repertoire and gain experience playing piccolo and alto flute. The flute ensemble is open by audition to students who read music.

Monday 6:15 - 7:30pm

Jazz Ensemble Prep
(By permission of instructor)
This preparatory ensemble is forbeginning woodwind, brass, percussion, piano and guitar students to learn theoretical and practical skills.

Wednesday 7 - 8pm


Drum Circle
(By permission of instructor)
Drum Circle participants express themselves collectively by using a chorus of tuned drums and percussion to create a musical composition, all while having a great time together.

Monday 5:30 - 6:45pm


Latin Percussionensemble
Students will be introduced to Latin percussion instruments with an emphasis on historical backgrounds and basic rhythms culminating in ensemble performances.


Philharmonia Winds
(By permission of instructor)
Philharmonia Winds is a select group of woodwind players chosen to perform with Philharmonia. In addition to participation in the full orchestra rehearsals, Philharmonia Winds meets separately each week to focus on ensemble work specific to woodwind players.

Saturday 12:45 - 1:30pm


The following activities are available to INDIVIDUAL/PARTNER WOODWIND, BRASS AND PERCUSSION students at no additional charge:
  • Accompanist/coaching sessions, with pianist, guitarist or rhythm section.
  • Students are encouraged to play in studio recitals and Music Hours scheduled throughout the year.
  • Performance ensembles and Chamber Music groups are available to all students by audition.
