Performing in band ensembles gives students in woodwinds, brass and percussion the opportunity to create music with peers of a similar level of skill or experience. Through this process, students elevate their performance skills in an environment that fosters teamwork, fun and music making. Bands are built around age and skill, and foster students' movement through the band program as their skills develop. Bands perform at an annual spring recital, the school-wide Holiday Concert in December, and at small concerts throughout the school year.
New students or students with prior playing experience will have the opportunity to audition for the Woodwinds, Brass & Percussion Department Chairperson for placement.
